CACTUS AND SUCCULENT SOCIETY SHOW AND SALE

Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, April 6-7—8 a.m.-5 p.m., April 8—9 a.m.-4 p.m. Explore species of high-quality cacti and succulents from around the world grown by members of the Central Arizona and Tucson branches of the society. GARDEN TOUR

Valleywide, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Rain or shine, the 20th annual Garden Tour presents an opportunity to view some of the Valley’s most innovative, extravagant residential gardens, outdoor living spaces and landscapes. Landscapers, Phoenix Home & Garden editors and Master Gardeners will be on hand at each location to answer questions. A portion of proceeds benefits Desert Botanical Garden. Pima County Cooperative Extension Demonstration Gardens, Tucson, 8-11 a.m. This plant sale offers an extensive selection of beautiful potted plants, bushes, fruit trees, desert plants, cacti and succulents. Master Gardeners will answer questions and help you choose the right plants to spruce up your garden. Various gardening tools and art will also be available for purchase. PLEASING THE POLLINATORS

Town Council Chambers, 33 Easy St. and Nonchalant Ave., Carefree, 9:30 a.m.-noon. As natural plant diversity declines, habitats are lost and harmful pesticides rampage, bees and other pollinators have a hard time surviving. In this workshop, a gardening expert will show you how to create an inviting habitat for bugs, birds and bats to help keep them alive.
